– The New York Times had an article last Friday on Alec Soth and his new project Black Line of Woods commissioned by The High Museum of Arts in Atlanta for the “Picturing the South” series. It was great to finally get some info on the project because he has been keeping it a secret for so long. There was one thing that I didn’t understand in the article though. The writer of the piece neglected to say anything about Yossi Milo Gallery and made it seem like it Alec went straight from the Whitney Biennial to being represented by Gagosian, seems they left out a pretty pivotal point in his career. Overall it was a very nice article though and I hope I can make a trip down to Atlanta to see the show after it opens on August 8th.

Also read a great new interview with Alec done by photographer and fellow blogger Daniel Shea for too much chocolate.
